My micronation idea, originally formed a few years ago, brought back to life by an un-remembered incident which happened recently (i presume). Almost making a portal for it, check it out here
Once I'm through with the portal, Coat of Arms, Flag, National Anthem (Iron Maiden or Led Zeppelin? :P) and necessary objects shall be ~~farmed~~ produced. The original idea for the flag was an exact copy of the English flag, just replace red with a purplish/violet colour. I once thought about removing the word 'Kingdom' from the name, but than, changed my mind with 'Anvil' being 'Anvil', and the full name being 'Kingdom of Anvil', pretty much like 'Xenox' and 'Xenox Enterprises'
My favourite city in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was Anvil, which inspired the name for my micronation

System refreshed
What does it tell you? Yes, i reinstalled Windows Vista today, along with SP1 on my new HDD. It's pretty cool, faster (ofcourse!), smoother, cleaner, and surprisingly, a lot of hurdles are gone! :S Like this one: I couldn't connect to my ISP's FTP server (strangely, yes) or connect to another FTP server through FileZilla (CuteFTP worked!) Anyway, it's pretty nice to have cleaned out all my cluttered data, and delete the useless, format (I'm obsessed!) and start over Gladly, this HDD is 250GB, so I'm installing MySQL, PHP, MSSQL, and a lot of other goodies, I won't usually on my older 20GB partition on my 80GB HDD I'm having a good time! ideas? ideas!
i'm bored! i really don't feel like working on Oblivion for the time being, and a friend i need to talk over before i start iMusic is never online anymore... so, i have decided on a SQL/ASP CMS which i could just install on a client's server, and save myself from much coding, just designing the main template i'm gonna try a multi-paged site this time (handling code in a single-page site is kinda tricky, and takes more than usual time) with CSS and DIVs for a change :D it's 10:30 PM here now, and i'll work on the concept till i doze off, so good night all :) Labels: asp, CMS, iMusic, oblivion, SQL

what's up?
well, apart from oblivion being on hold, there are a couple of designs i've been working on. such as this World of Warcraft design, this cool new idea and this one (ps: the iMusic one to be viewed in a bigger resolution) also, i've been playing a lot of (actually, a little) battlefield 2 and just lying around lazily! oh, and don't forget, those designs, are like, work in progress, and hosted on my local machine, so unless i'm up, and there is electric power to keep my PC on, you'll be able to view those, else :P Labels: battlefield 2, bulletin board, music, oblivion, rastgar, web design, world of warcraft, wow

oblivion beta!
here it is!! the beta (unfinished too) version of oblivion here is what's not done: - admin control panel (also means you cannot post in the announcements forum for now) - user control panel (aka user account settings) - a few pages in the oblivion website (which means you cannot download the application for beta testing right now!) here is what's done: - signup/signin/signout - thread creation/thread posting - profile views - wall posting - bbcode/formatting/html removal here is what shall be done: - user control panel - re-check for xhtml validation - admin control panel - a few other refineries and than, the beta version would actually be released for testing! till than, brace yourselves!!! DAMN!! i'm fast!
so, i worked around the night, until i suffered a power loss at around 9AM in the morning, at which point i went to sleep, waking up at 2PM and continued working... it's 3:30PM now, and i've completed around 60% of the bulletin board! aka codename: oblivion what's done - thread creation - replying to posts - forum view - signin - signout - BB settings off the database ...and the layout is sooo nice! check out the screenie i posted. hopefully, it's finished for beta release by today, or tomorrow (can't really be sure, power is being a big hassle for me now, poor country :() to do list: - BBcode formatting - emoticons - registration - users' profiles - account settings - other website pages Labels: access, asp, bulletin board, database, db, forum, oblivion, web application
